If it weren’t for the fresh eggs, I think that I would never have free-range chickens. The chickens seem to get into every flower bed and vegetable patch that I have. They did in the soil looking for bugs and worms. I like that part. However, they dig in the softest soil which is always where you have planted the latest flowers and veggies. Here is a photo of some of the eggs that we collect every day.
It has been such a long time since we have bought any eggs that are commercially raised, I had forgot just how much more flavor the home grown eggs are. I helped my friend, Jack, with a Gospel Choir Concert that he had in Ogden. After the performance we went to get a bite to eat. I ordered some scrambled eggs with my meal. The best I can say for those eggs is that they were hot and a good carrier for ketchup.
